Tomorrow’s the day!

The 2024 Hancock Flat 50 is tomorrow and we can't wait to see everyone at check-in today or Saturday. Please see below for important info:

We have a record turnout of riders this year and we are so excited to have everyone participate in our ride and festival events. Safety for everyone is our utmost priority. Please remember we are riding on open roads. We have uniformed officers controlling traffic at key intersections. Follow the directions of these officers. At intersections where no officer is stationed, you are required to obey all posted traffic signs/signals.

I70 Construction update:

Exit 104- SR9 Greenfield exit is currently OPEN in both directions. However, entrance to I70 eastbound is still closed at SR9.

Packet Pick- up/check-in:

Many have asked about picking up packets for other riders- yes you are able to pick up packets for others, you just need to give the names of everyone you are checking in at the registration tables.

Packet pick-up is from 10:00am-4:30pm Friday, August 23rd at Family Bike Chain - 101 E. Main St. There is major sidewalk construction all around the intersection of Main St. and American Legion Place, but you CAN access the bike shop from both American Legion Place, and from Main St using the gravel paths. PLEASE watch your step!

Evening hours for packet pick up Friday, August 23rd are from 6pm-9pm in the Living Alley near the corner of North St.- just west of the Wooden Bear. Flat 50 Friday events will be going on along North St and in the Living Alley so plan to join us there Friday evening!

The sidewalk construction along Main St. and at the corner of North St. and Pennsylvania St. where the start/finish line is located has created some huge holes which are barricaded, but please pay attention and use caution in these areas!

Saturday packet pick-up/check-in will begin at 6:30am in the Living Alley

The Dan Henrys are painted in bright pink- please disregard any other color Dan Henry marking you may see that is not bright pink! Where you see a circle with a line, follow the direction the line points.

Due to the large number of riders this year, you may find parking in the downtown area difficult. Street parking is allowed through most of downtown. There is NO parking in the Lincoln Square parking lot. Additional parking has been secured at the following locations:

  • Hancock Regional Hospital- 801 N. State St.

  • The Community Foundation of Hancock County- 971 W. US Highway 40 (there is a large lot behind the building with direct access to the Pennsy Trail to ride into the start/finish area

  • Pride Investment Center- 2700 W. Main St (NOT next to the building as there will be staff there on Saturday)

  • Weston Elementary School- 104 Polk St

  • Greenfield Intermediate School/Harris Elementary School- 204 W. Park Ave.

  • GC Academy/Cougar Cubs Preschool- 700 N. Broadway

We can't wait to see you all!
